Live Visual Performance in support of Earlimart
Capturing sounds and images from a specific environment, music and art collective Arthur King uses this material to create an improvisational performance within the same setting. All of the visual and sonic material used in this short documentary is derived from a trip the Arthur King collective took to the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in rural Utah during the summer of 2017.
An experimental live music and visual art performance which took place aboard a catamaran sailboat in the coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean near Los Angeles, CA.
Palmetto is a large-scale, site specific, experiential art installation based on the concept of the balance of opposites.
Participants are invited to enter a two-sided structure that physically engages the idea of opposing elements. Manipulated projections and directional audio create a unique experience for each participant depending on one's position within the exhibit. The exhibit also features live musical performances by Arthur King & The Night Sea and a separate screening room featuring documentaries and a series of short films inspired by the album Palmetto.
